A TCD Chartered Physiotherapy graduate, Mairead commenced work at The National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire back in the early 1980’s, moving on to St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin a year later to concentrate on Outpatient physiotherapy. In the late 1980 opportunities arose which took her away from clinical physiotherapy for several years, but the pull of patients, coupled with a love of learning and teaching saw her become TCD’s Senior Clinical Teacher in Outpatients at the School of Physiotherapy for most of the 1990’s. She commenced a small private practice in Maynooth in 1992, then known as Mairead O’Riordan & Associates, later renamed as TherapyXperts Maynooth in 2007.

Involved in teaching manual therapy skills while employed in T.C.D, and deeply committed to continuing professional education, she completed a M.Sc. (Physiotherapy) at Trinity College in 1996-8, specialising in Manual Therapy. Her MSc Research thesis investigated reliability and validity of clinical testing for neck muscle dysfunction. She has presented post-graduate courses on behalf of The Irish Society of Orthopaedic Medicine and other bodies. An active member of several Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapy committees, she was appointed to the I.S.C.P. Expert Witness Panel in 2003.

Her interest in Occupational Health gave the clinic the opportunity to become the sole provider of occupational physiotherapy services to Hewlett Packard Manufacturing (Ireland) Ltd at Liffey Valley in 2001, a contract still held today by TherapyXperts Maynooth. AstraZeneca Pharmaceutics and Gerard Laboratories are two of the many S.M.E.s that have also availed of our Ergonomics Consultancy services

From Co. Offaly, Danielle graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1998 as top student in her undergraduate physiotherapy class.

She gained her first post-graduate experience at Tallaght Hospital, later moving to a private practice in south Dublin. In 2005 she completed an intensive MSc in Manipulative Therapy at Curtin University in Perth, Australia, one of the world’s top physiotherapy Masters programme again gaining top place. She joined the clinic here on her return in early 2006.

Her exceptional academic record and superb clinical skills both in assessment of complex disorders and treatment via manual therapy and prescriptive exercise are such that Danielle is the Senior Practice Associate at TherapyXperts Maynooth. She specialises in assessment & treatment of

Genevieve Fay - B.Sc. (Physio), M.I.S.C.P.
Genevieve comes from a well known local medical and sporting family. She initially trained as a Med. Lab. Tech. and worked for several years in The Mater Hospital before re-training as a Chartered Physiotherapist.

She has subsequently gained experience in such diverse areas as sports medicine, neurology, care of the elderly and musculoskeletal medicine including management of back pain. As part of her general physiotherapy brief, she is undertaking post-graduate qualification in Pilates and Acupuncture.

From September 2009 she takes full responsibility for the long running successful Pilates Classes here at TherapyXperts Maynooth. Classes are held both mornings and evenings and given at Beginner's, Intermediate and Advanced levels. Genevieve assesses each candidate for Pilates in the first instance to ensure the optimal level of intervention. She also runs our new TherapyXperts Bone Health initiative addressing exercise and lifestyle issues in dedicated classes for osteoporosis sufferers.
